A Goddess among humankind…..

Feeding her child with a spoon,
& singing lullaby, seeing the moon,
Telling stories of fairies to child,
Isn’t she a goddess among humankind?
Starting from the day of her birth,
She is taught to be tolerant like earth,
She is taught to be gracious and kind,
Isn’t she a goddess among humankind?
Nourishing the dreams of child in her own eyes,
& spending whole night sleepless on kid’s slightest cry,
Loving her child with whole heart and mind,
Isn’t she a goddess among humankind?
Sacrifices her dreams, joints two families, manages the home,
Plays role of friend, teacher, guardian and many more,
And thinks of her family, each time,
Isn’t she a goddess among humankind?
She smiles and cries for her family,
And her all efforts are to make it happy,
Her beautiful songs, verses and rhymes,
Isn’t she a goddess among humankind?
She is a gift of almighty to us,
For making the god happy, she is the nexus,
Respecting her is worship; her insult is a crime,
Yes, she is a goddess among humankind.
