A Star

Staring you, o you little diamond
I can see your heart thumping hard
Making you blink, making you restless
You are tired, in this last hour of night
You wish to see, out of horizon, golden light
But still few grains are left in the sun glass
Still dew is fresh and shining in the grass
You want this darkness to end and sun to embrace
The cold and numb air with its arms, sun rays
And make you feel cozy and relaxed
But you know that will end your existence
You will not be visible in that instance
Instead you want to lose yourself for the god of light
This is a true worship, the epitome of sacrifice
As a true devotee of light, you fight hard with doom
And in the end lose yourself to make the light bloom
